Christmas Carols and Songs

A Boy Is Born in Bethlehem
A Christmas Carol
A Day, a Day of Glory
A Great and Mighty wonder
All my Heart this Night Rejoices
As with Gladness Men of Old
Ben Jonson's Carol
Brightest and Best
Carol of the Bells[new]
Come, all ye Shepherds
Come, Ye Lofty
Coventry Carol
Cradled in a Manger, meanly
Earth Today Rejoices
From Heaven High, O Angels, Come
From Highest Heaven I Come To Tell
From the Eastern Mountains
Gentle Mary Laid Her Child
Give Heed My Heart
Glory be to God on High
Go tell it to the Mountain
God from on High hath heard

Christmas Sheet Music [new]
God is Love
He Smiles Within His Cradle
Here Is Joy For Every Age
Hymn for Christmas Day
Joseph Dearest, Joseph Mine
Joy to the World
Let Earth and Heaven combine
Lo! He comes with Clouds Descending
Love Came Down at Christmas
Maker Of The Sun And Moon
O Holy Night
O Remember Adams fall
Praise the Saviour all ye Nations
See Amid The Winters Snow
The Angels Song
The Gloucestershire Wassail
The Manger Throne
The Race that Long in Darkness pined
To us a Child of Royal Birth
Unto Us A Boy Is Born
While by my Sheep I Watched at Night

Each of the pages containing these Christmas Carols will include details of the person who wrote the words and lyrics and also details of the music and the composer. Wherever possible we have provided access to piano music, which accompanies the lyrics, played by the brilliant Eric Halstead. It is extremely unusual to hear such lovely piano music via the Internet - most music accompaniments seem to played on electronic keyboards. Our visitors have told us that they use this site for Carol and Hymn Practice - a Christmas Karaoke! We hope you will enjoy this new section of Christmas Carols on this website!

The main ideas for this site is to provide some different and interactive features! The on/off facility for playing music to accompany the Christmas Carols has been included wherever possible. For the younger visitors, and the young at heart, the 'Make it Snow' feature allows us to create a Christmas atmosphere - the magic of Christmas at the touch of a button! Another popular feature of the site is the interactive, multi-choice Christmas Quiz. The quiz is unusual as it's played like a fast & fun game with questions about Christmas Carols and Songs! The Hall of Fame is full of people who have successfully completed the Quiz - we appreciate all the wonderful comments that we have received! Help us to pass on the Christmas spirit. If you have any ideas or information that would suit this site please let us know - we would love to hear from you!

Contact us at  webmaster@carols.org.uk. We will be happy to include any interesting information and would naturally mention your name as an accreditation. In the words of the famous, old traditional Christmas Song:

" We wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!"
