The words and lyrics of the old Christmas carol 'The Maker Of The Sun And Moon ' were by Laurence Housman (1865-1959). Laurence Housman was born on the 18th July 1865 in Worcestershire, England. Housman studied Art in London and his first job was with a Publishing company as a book illustrator. He then started writing plays, noels poems and hymns. This carol was first published in the The English Hymnal in 1906.
